| BOLLYWOOD'S BIG HITS OF THE
YEAR SO FAR
Five films that you can love to watch again…
Well,
it's more than half a year that's gone by and I must say
it has been truly a "different" year for Bollywood
in it's true sense of the word. A host of new Gen X directors
have made films that no one has ever been dared before.
In simple words if we draw a comparison with Hollywood,
as of today Hollywood has nothing but big budget films
and even boring sequels, but on the other hand Bollywood
is rocking in every ascpect of film making. Whether it
is to being noticed at all the international film festivals
or international banners longing to sign Bollywood stars,
anything, you name it and Bollywood has experienced it
off late.
So here's my Top 5 films for the year 2005 so far from
the glittering
world of Bollywood.
5.
Kya Kool Hain Hum
Agreed the older generation didnt appreciate it, but all
said and done it was hilarious. With not one dull moment
in the film this is also one of the year's bigger hits.
4.
Sarkar
RGV put all his critcs to silence for the umpteenth time,
with this smash hit. With power house performances from
the Bachchan father and son duo, this is one of my favourite's
this year.
3.
Black
Bollywood at is best is how I describe Black. Another
winner by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, not to forget the heart
rendering performances by Rani Mukerjee, Amitabh Bachchan
and Ayesha Kapur.
2.

Madhur Bhandarkar's silent killer. No one had any expectations
from this one. The reverse psychology really paid off.
A brilliant realistic film and the year's first superhit.
1.
Parineeta
A sensational debut by the director Pradeep Sarkar and
an equally sensational debut by newcomer Vidya Balan.
A sweet, romantic love story set in the 60's really touched
my heart. Not to forget the complex role handled by Saif
with such efficiency and a melodious soundtrack was a
bonus. This is my film of the year.
